There isn't much you can do to encourage a new sign up in such a short time. SFI isn't for everyone and many new sign ups realize this after about a day and some after a while longer.
What you can do is to make your Welcome Letter very positive and tell them that SFI isn't a make money overnight scam and that these other sites are scams. Let them know that with some enthusiasm and effort and a small amount of money, they will make money, but it takes time. Be upbeat and honest and then they can decide based on this.
We can't make someone want to stay... that is a choice they make and unfortunately, many do leave. However, occasionally some have returned after finding out there isn't a site that will make you rich in a week.
Keep your chin up... this happens to all of us on a constant basis, but you only need about 5 hard working people on your team and then things will start to happen for you.
