Do they feel they've been demoted because they did not qualify as EA?
I know and understand that it is very difficult and hard to accept when you suddenly have a green affiliate badge again - after you had your blue EA badge (or in some cases even higher).
You have to try and change the way they look at SFI. Firstly they can not be demoted because they are not working for a boss or a company. In order for one to be demoted you have to have a boss. They work for themselves, they are the boss.
Secondly they need to know that every business goes through good months and through not so good months. If they can see it like that and adjust their goals and tactics accordingly it will become part of the learning curve. Encourage them to learn from it instead of allowing it to drag them down.
Don't make it off as something small and insignificant - because when it happens to you it is a big thing and when somebody brushes you off it is infuriating.
