Beginning in January 2016, you must have at least one (1) EA2 in order to qualify for the rank of BTL. Therefore, after this month (December), no amount of AVP will help you unless you have a team!
However, for this month only, aside from the daily TODO list, you can get bonus AVP (1 for each TCredit spent) by bidding at Pricebenders's auctions and/or playing Eager Zebra games. And you can also win AVP in the Daily Grand drawing and/or E365 drawings. But the bottom line is, winning AVP is not guaranteed, and bonus AVP requires a rather high investment in TCredits. However, if you WANT to make that investment because you enjoy bidding in auctions and playing the games, do it!
In my estimation, it is much better to focus on building your team. Then your rank of BTL really means something and you have the advantage of matching VP from your active team members. Of course, there is no reason why you can't do both. Part of leadership is your full participation in the TripleClicks experience. Lead by example, play and win, but remember that you must have at least one EA2 to advance in rank.
