The answer depends on where you are on your journey with SFI.
Obviously, you will want their support eventually, but at first, you may or may not get it. At that point it doesn't really matter - a lot of people are skeptical about any online business.
What matters is that you believe in yourself. If your family and friends are not in support of you, then you need to find that inner strength each of us has to continue, until you can show them that it works - and it does, if you follow the advice available throughout the site.
Contrary to popular wisdom, I would rather achieve some level of success in a business before I start trying to win my family and friends over - that way, when I do, I have something positive to share with them, which makes getting their support much, much easier.
When you are able to walk in the door having just 'fired the boss', you are in a much stronger position if you are able to show them that you have already established a steady stream of residual income from your business!
