You attract people with money to invest in a business by sponsoring affiliates on a consistent basis. There really isn't a person who doesn't have the means to start in SFI and grow their business through perserverance and hard work. They may not yet realize that they have everything they need to start right now. So it is up to you as the sponsor to set the expectation early on while building rapport.
This said, every affiliate has potential to be the next DTL! Through communication and observation it can be learned how to best help each affiliate. The problem is that most never communicate effectively and ignorance prevails.
Therefore to attract strong affiliates you must become a strong affiliate. You can expect people to follow you where you will not venture to go. The best way is to lead by example. This is where your merit badges can play a very important role in letter your PSAs know how seriously committed you are to your SFI business. When they see that you have been consistent with your achievements it will undoubtedly inspire some to the next level of commitment and achievement.
