You can rely on your sponsor if and only if he/she is active, I would advise you to try and go through all the lunch pad lessons and sfi basics, learn as much as you can, understand how to become successful with sfi yourself. that way your success will not be determined by a sponsor. Take for instance for me I do not have a sponsor, I do not know if my Sponsor opted out but I am learning everyday and applying what I learn from great and wonderful family we have in SFI, I never regret relying on my own strength.
