I would like to say that the success of your business is totally dependant on you. When I joined SFI I learnt practically everything on my own and have had very little contact with my sponsor. I even sent him an email but he never responded. I took the bull by the horns and made platinum team leader in my first month all by myself.
Your dependence should be minimal. Consider yourself an entrepreneur and do all you can to make it work. Besides, you have rich SFI training materials to work with.
