I don't know about anyone else, but the only genealogy 'filter' I need or use yet is not actually a filter per se. I simply switch from the full version of the genealogy to the condensed and then I use the sort function instead.
Perhaps when I've been with SFI for long enough to have thousands, and tens of thousands of PSA and CSA, then I will need to extensively need genealogy filtering but for now I just have 500-600 total affiliates in my down line. With the full genealogy, I have like 11 pages of affiliates.
When I click over to the condensed, only those affiliates that are EA, have SO or have logged in during last 90 days are displayed. In my case, the number of genealogy pages drops from eleven down to a manageable 5. From there I only need to use the sort feature to find exactly who/what I'm looking for in a super easy way.
Use the filters if you wish, certainly. And do read through the other answers you'll get here for this question. But remember that filtering isn't the only way because sorting the condensed genealogy results is also a fast and effective method of 'filtering'
