The moment you qualify as EA you have a team of 2 CSA's. The size of your team is not relevant. If you want to 1st get to know the business before providing guidance and support to others you should not qualify as EA - which I will not recommend.
You are not your CSA's first point of contact, so even if you do have a team you still have time to learn enough to feel comfortable leading a team. Only once you feel confident and comfortable you start advertising to recruit your own PSA's or buy them or buy S-builder or whatever way you decide to start building your team.
It is good that you think about this and do not just jump in. It means you know it is a big responsibility. Just remember - your team is your lifeline at the end of the day. You can not be a teamleader with no team and without their success you fail as well.
