You will start thinking as a team leader, focusing on learning and developing leadership skills, visiting the SFI leadership training modules, and reading Forum posts about leadership. You will be acting as a team leader
If an affiliate strive and reach the Executive rank, they are awarded two CSAs right away. They can start sending team mail, and communicating with their new team members, thus learning critical team leader skills.
If you buy an S-Builder Co-unit and or PSAs-to-go, or even just bid on auctions, very shortly, you will have PSAs added to your team, which will begin growing on both its legs of sponsored and co-sponsored affiliates. You are literally a team leader.
When you reach the ranks of Bronze Team Leader (BTL), within approximately 15 days in the following calendar month, your will get your share of the Second Home CSAs. At that stage, your team will be strong with a good number of both PSAs and CSAs.
Now, with the rank of a BTL, your team members will start looking at you as a true team leader, especially if you are communicating with them on a regular basis, both as a group and on one-to-one basis, mentoring and providing all the recommended support as outlined in the Affiliate Manager section. They will look up to you. They will come to you with questions and seeking help. You should grow your knowledge and be ready to provide answers and solutions.
It is true that any team leader will experience some "growing pains": some setbacks resulting from inactive affiliates, or even some active team members who may stop working for one reason or the other. But no business is person is shielded with immunity from the volatility of business growth. Sometimes, it will it will be great. In other times, not so well. All of it is part of the business building process. We learn by going through its ups and downs. We become experienced, stronger, resilient.
With the wealth of leadership tools and resources available within SFI, an affiliate should not delay their decision to move to leadership ranks.
From here, it is a matter of how effective you are in sponsoring, mentoring, training and supporting. We all are faced with these challenges, regardless of whether we are BTL or Diamond Team Leader (DTL).
