My answer to you comes from my own experience. When I first started, I reached out to a team leader in my upline and asked what did I need to do to be a good team leader. I had been in about two weeks. my answer was discouraging. I was told I wasn't ready to be a team leader without the reason why. I'm glad I didn't take his advice, but charged into the rank of BTL.
I didn't understand at that time that I didn't have a team to lead, but that soon changed. My Team began to grow Immediately because of my rank and the shares I received of second home CSA's some of them team leaders. My Team is in the Thousands now 15 months later, many of which are inactive, that comes with the territory. but my Team grows monthly because of my rank as team leader
If you have the drive, and will to be a team leader (YOU ARE!) because' "as a man thinketh in his heart so is he." Without Doubt go for your dream. Lead from the start & you will Lead in the end. Dont be discouraged when things seems to progress too slowly. LEARN your business as you go and apply what you've learned. Never give up!
