I personally believe that you should go for team leader as soon as you can!
To do this you need a combination of 3000 VP
1500 - 2000 Sales or Purchase Points
1000 - 1500 Action Points
I notice that many affiliates get hung up on Purchasing instead of Sales!
You do not have to purchase anything, but all regular purchases including vitamins, books electronics and more carry a VP component. In addition Sales generated by your ads, webpage, personal selling, and any other technique that you explore will get you those same points, plus money in the form or commissions and the actual sale of your items either as an ECA or as member sales!
Action points come from a variety of sources including your team, which you automatically start building when you become a Team Leader! You can build an effective team by bringing in Family and Friends or Business contacts or doing raw one on one personal recruiting in your own neighborhood. You can also recruit online via free ads, a blog or by using facebook or other social media. Concentrate on the Need or Want that you can fulfill in all of these communications and get them to contact you for more information, don't rely on links and auto-responders ... people respond to people.
If you follow the SFI program you will have a team, the point is that you must be ready to help them succeed. This is a long-term strategy for long term results and every person who has succeeded in SFI started to win when the adopted this approach!
