First of all thank you for asking a very important question for the beginners.

Everyone - in SFI, who sine up newly, can achieve (upto) Gold Team Leader position with in very few days, because - each affiliates have the opportunity to earn maximum Action Versa Point in their first month which is not available in the second month, with this if the affiliates invest some little dollar in his business then the affiliates reach to the Team Leader position very easily with in few days of joining.

But in the second month the affiliates failed to earn those AVP again which is available only for the first month, and as a result the affiliates loose the position of the previous month.

So,
In my opinion - after joining, every affiliates should sine in regularly to their SFI homepage and do all the daily task and earn the daily Action Versa Point, and with this the affiliate should go for the 'Fast Track Position', and of-course set their standing order also. By this formula the affiliate easily earn EA2 status every month.

And about becoming a 'Team Leader'.....
Only go for a Team Leader position which is starts from Bronze Team Leader, if you have at-least 4 Personal Sponsor Affiliates(PSA) - who are stable and determined like you. Otherwise in my opinion if you go for a TL position without any suitable PSA then you have to invest a lot of money every month.

So, as per your question, my opinion is - if you have lots of money to invest in every month then you can go for a TL position within your starting period --- if not, then look out for active PSA's in your team or down line. As much active PSA you can collect who are able to follow your steps in their SFI business , you will automatically promoted to the higher rank or you can say 'Team Leader'.
Remember -
'Those are the team leader who have a active team,
What you will do by becoming TL with out a active team,
Make your team first to become a LEADER.'
