You can but it is not easy.
As soon as you join, get into the habit of doing the DAILY ACTIONS every day without fail and reviewing your TConnect weekly. These actions are purely to get into the habit of doing them, but wait until the start of the next month before doing anything else, so that you have got a full month to work in.
While waiting for the new month to start become a WAVE 3 member. This action is not currently available while SFI re-works it but the old Wave 3 gave you 5 free TCredits monthly and 50 free MRP monthly. I cannot say for sure but I would imagine the new Wave 3 will give you something similar when it becomes available. Wave 3 membership used to cost $1.95 and the main stipulation was that you had to have a car window to stick a TripleClicks decal on and send a photo of you with the the car and decal back to SFI. Even for someone with no money, $1.95 should not be impossible to raise.
There is no point in even starting with SFI unless you become an Executive Affiliate (EA) with 1500 VP in a month and follow up with another 1500 VP in the next month (EA2).
At the start of the new month and for the rest of that month you do the following in the same order as below:

Spread out the above actions so that you are doing only 1 a day apart from the daily and weekly actions. This will mean you will get a minimum of 2 chances a day every day in the Daily Grand which you enter by pressing the WIN IT tab. With a bit of luck this will give you more TCredits and/or MRP. Use up the free TCredits earned from Daily Grand, with DOUBLE MRP Eager Zebra games or Pricebender Auctions to gain more VP and MRP.
Once you reach 1500 VP do not go any further except continue with your daily Actions. You need to conserve the Action VP (AVP) as long as possible. One week out from the end of the month, look at your scoreboard and see how many VP you still need to get to 1500 VP and if it is less than 80 VP to go, do not use any more AVP, apart from the Daily and Weekly Actions, to get you to 1500 VP and EA. Your daily and weekly Actions alone will get you the remaining VP you need.
Your second month of re-qualifying as EA2 is much harder, but you will help yourself a lot by conserving your VP in the first month as outlined above.
By getting to EA you will earn 10 TCredits and be re-assigned 2 CSA’s which means that you will have a team below you and you will be their leader, even though you have not yet qualified as a Team Leader and you will not get any of the Team Leader perks at this stage. You will also get another 5 TCredits and 50 MRP from WAVE 3. Wave 3 is currently unavailable while SFI revises it, but hopefully it will not be too much longer. With the 3 TCredits left over from last month, the 5 TCredits from Wave 3 and the 10 from getting to EA last month you now have 18 TCredits to use this month on double MRP PriceBender Auctions or Eager Zebra games. Each time you use a TCredit on double MRP opportunities you get 1 VP and 10 MRP. But don’t use them until you have to.
You got 50 MRP from Wave 3 last month and another 50 this month. You also earned another 30 from the PriceBenders Auctions last month, thus starting the month with 130 MRP.
Because you now have 2 CSAs in your team, you should now start sending them a Team-Mail each week for which you earn 30 VP for each one. You should also start compiling and sending Stream messages to your team 3 times a week. These messages should be short and sweet – maximum 340 characters or about 50-60 words. Each Stream message gives you 1 VP to a maximum of 3 a week.
So how do we get 1500 VP in month 2. See the table below. We cannot use any of the once-only Action VP (AVP) we used up last month. 31 day and 5 week months are a bonus and give you the opportunity to not have to use other AVP.

Getting to EA2 will get you a small amount of commission the next month, probably enough or close to enough to buy 1 TCredit. It will also earn you another 10 TCredits and 2 CSAs. So you would be going into the next month with 20 TCredits counting the Wave 3 ones and 8 MRP left.
To keep re-qualifying EA2 after this will be impossible unless you can get some money from somewhere. At your TConnect page you have gateways where you can refer products from ECA merchants to your own contacts. You need to spend as much time as you can afford to connecting your contacts with these ECA merchants and you can get commissions from any sales made. Those same contacts can also be brought into the SFI business and you still get commission on everything they do. You only need about $20 a month in commission income with which to buy enough TCredits, the VP from which, combined with the VP earned from daily, weekly and monthly actions, will get you to that 1500 VP each month.
You can do it. It requires time, persistence and belief in yourself, but anyone with a tiny amount of money (under $10) can get to EA2 and in those 2 months, start to build a TripleClicks business.
