Without using our own domains, we are actually promoting a same long URL site as other affiliates do. When your potential customers would like to return to your site, do you think they remember the long URL with your code number with it? Which of these two URL is easier to remember ? http://www.sfi4.com/xxxxxxxx/FREE or http://www.sweets.com ? Of course the second one, right?
So, the best choice is to have your own domain. Your domain acts like your address where people stop by and do business with you. You have your own unique identity and people will always remember you and your business with that name.
Other advantages you can possess are:
i. You create a more professional image by having own domain. You are different from other common affiliates and you make yourself stand out from the others.
ii. Should you want to terminate your affiliation with any site ( not SFI ? ), you will not lose your regular site visitors because you still have your domain. You also can add some contents and delete some irrelevant ones. Multiple streams of income can be created by just having one domain.
iii. You are free to change your site host and still people can find your site.
iv. You can have your own sales or landing page to accumulate contact lists so that you can offer them your multiple products or services.
