The way you asked this question, I assumed that the affiliate (whether PSA or CSA), no matter how long he has been with the business, has tried his/her "best" effort, at least from his/her perspective.
We must first understand that we are in the business of "helping our affiliates" (PSA/CSA) to be successful so that we could be successful ourselves.In other words, we would only achieve success by helping our downlines to be successful. Thus, if any of my CSA/PSA ever come to me with such question, I would first ask myself if I had done enough in coaching, guiding or giving encouragement to him/her? As a leader, have I noticed the efforts he has been making and have I made efforts to ensure that he felt my presence? And most importantly, have I made him/her understand the concept of duplication and leveraging?
In this business, there is no secret. There are so many helps, such as the forum, which is so rich of information. There are tips and guidance on how affiliate could maintain at least EA status with minimal investment. So, if everything else fails, why not adopt such measures and see if things would improve?
As a last effort, there are no failure unless you quit and quitters never win. With that, the final decision rest with your affiliate but whatever decision he/she takes, you should have your peace knowing well that you have done your best.
