This is the simplest possible explanation:

You can make money in several ways:

1) you sell something - get DC (the amount written in blue rectangle next to each product. When your PSA buys something you get DC direct commissions, but if you personally biy something you will not get DC (your sponsor will get it)

2) your CSA sell something CSC co-sponsor comm (also writes in a blue rectangle)

3) You collect VP (it does not matter how, whether the action, sales or matching VP). SFI determine their value based on the the TripleClicks Executive Pool. In order to obtain the money you need to be at least EA. If you are not EA you will not get this part of earnings.
