I don't like cold calling. I don't like it when I'm on the other end of a cold call either. I think it's much better if email, IM, texts, or other methods are used.
Using the telephone for attracting PSA's could be helpful, but only when the call wasn't a cold call and you're talking to someone whose actually listening to you.
I personally believe it's as good a method as the cold caller is at talking to people on the phone, keeping the call short as possible, and handling difficult people.
