Intriguing question this one.
My immediate response was to say "No. Definitely not." But having given it some thought, I believe there could indeed be benefits from this.
It depends on the DVD (or other means of reward) you are using. I think if it was motivational items (DVD's or books), or informative media, then absolutely yes. I see no harm in that, in fact it could be very useful. I know I could certainly do with hand up in learning how to manage a business, how to blog, how to advertise online, etc.
Pure entertainment rewards I think would be a mistake on you part, as it detracts from the business, & they could well end up spending valuable time playing games, watching movies, or doing other things they would not have ordinarily done, instead of giving that time to working the business.
