The question is what do you want to achieve when you start out in SFI.The object is to reach EA2 status in your 2nd month and to keep it for always. You can then go for the Team Leader positions.
So the first action you take when you join is to learn all there is in SFI. They will tell you about how to become an EA and how to keep the status.
Also you will learn about advertising and all that goes with it.
You have to be an EA2 to reap the benefits of SFI.
You can do it in two ways.
1. Work hard and get the VP.
2. Buy the 125 TCredit pack on SO and be EA automatically for that month AND EVERY MONTH AFTER THAT.
The advertising you can start when you achieved the above and are an EA or Team Leader.
To get a downline there are other ways beside advertising like -
Bidding with your TCredits to get 1PSA for every 50 bids in auctions.
Bidding on PSAs in the auctions will also get you PSA if you win and that is without advertising.
So I say : First get EA-qualifying purchase.
Secondly if you then need more PSAs go for auctions and buying PSAs-to-go.
Thirdly you start advertising if you need to get more PSAs.
