My personal opinion it's better to do both. You want to gain traffic to your gateways, but you also want EA qualifying purchases as soon as possible because qualifying for EA gains you a lot more when it comes to your internet income.
An EA qualifying purchase gains you a standing order, and advertise and you start gaining traffic and possibly more sign ups or leave your advertising for TripleClicks and gain PRM's and your commissions go up!
Decide for yourself what you want. It's your life. Your decision. Just do it. Don't look to others for support. You need to be your own biggest support. What other's think of you isn't any of your business.
The more you put into your business the more you will get out of it!
