My opinion is that you do not give them a lengthy detailed lecture - it will confuse and overwhelm them before they even start.
All they need to know before they sign up is the following:

It is about recruiting affiliates and buying and selling online.

You have your own business and you have to build it the same way you build a business like a shop or restaurant etcetera.
Once they signed up you lead them to find out the rest. Guide them to learn step by step - once again, you do not want to scare them or overwhelm them in the first week.
