I believe you should not advise anyone against becoming a Team Leader at any point because there are great benefits that come with achieving any TL rank, like earning TCredits, second home CSAs, etc. which are good for anyone who understands SFI Compensation Plan and how SFI works and how to be successful in SFI.
With that being said, I would advice you to explain to your down-line that they need to study SFI, let them know that getting VersaPoints and maintaining a particular rank WILL NOT be as easy as it was in the month of joining. Explain what it means to be a Team leader and let them decide if advancing at an early stage will be good for them or not.
Anyone should strive to be a Team-leader, it will work out for the best if the sponsor does a great job at guiding a down-line
