The best part about the internet is that it comes with its own culture. In the internet culture, there are no time zones and language barriers as long as you have software that translates the web pages into your native language. For this reason, the internet makes it easier to manage your team because the playing field is leveled when you send out team mail and information. The issue I could see is the ability to chat or call on the phone because you would have to coordinate a time to call and unless you speak their language, you could not have a conversation. So I lean heavily on the internet for managing my team on a weekly basis.
