First and foremost, it is important for us to remember that SFI is a business... our business. By taking part in SFI's affiliate program, we are invoking the right to call ourselves business owners.
As with any business, we set goals to achieve and have a plan in place to achieve those goals. Part of that part typically involves having a system by which we measure our progress. As we achieve our goals, we feel a sense of accomplishment.
By encouraging our team members to take on leadership roles, we are first giving them a specific goal to work towards and then granting them that sense of accomplishment when they achieve that goal.
I do feel it important though to point out that we should not "push" our team too fast or hard. Have them build a team first and then teach them the benefits of advancing to the role of a team leader.
