Hello Alvin, It is important to develop team members into leaders for business to grow.
A business that does not grow the owner will groan. Principally the task of developing
team members into leaders is vested in the team leader. To grow a team, the team leader
should play the following roles:
1. Lead by example in everything you do with them.
2. Welcome them immediately they joining SFI and keep talking to them from then onward.
3. Let your prospects know that they will never walk alone; team spirit is strong in SFI.
4. Training is the key to understanding any business, direct them to training materials at SFI home page
5. Communication should be frequent - email, genealogy mailer, CSA/PSA mailer, phone etc.
6. Monitor the activities of your PSAs and CSAs from the VPLedger page and let them know what they can improve upon.
7. Always appreciate the effort of each of your team members e.g for being consistent every month.
8. Patience is key. You as a leader must not give up on any of your team members no matter what.
9. Share in their joy; congratulates anyone of them that WINs in any contest e.g E365, Daily Grand, T-Time, Knock Out Trivia etc.
10. Give them enough independence on running their own business, your words to them should always be advisory in nature.
11. Treat your team members as colleagues and not your sub-ordinates, therefore don't be too pushy.
12. Let your team members know you are always available for their help in-case of any difficulty.
13. Use inclusive words like "we", "our", "all of us" etc. in your email.
14. Motivate team members from time to time via rewards for performance - gift certificates, Tcredits, PSAs etc
15. Finally, teach them how to do the things you do to be successful. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.
