To me the answer is in the question already,..
It is because you are trying to CONVINCE somebody to do something they did not choose to do..
Ok, they did make a choice to sign up but working for something is a whole different thing then just signing up for some free-bee :)
What we can do is in stead od CONVINCING people, SHOW people.
Create your blog / facebook / twitter / whatever and start writing about your business,..
Your daily ups and downs, your wins and losses and so on ( No business can have just wins and ups )
When people see your progress, see your enthusiasm, they will want to know what it is all about and then "convincing" them is actually not even a question anymore..
