One can track the response against his/her advertisements through key codes and hit tracking.
"Key codes" is nothing but the code by which the advertiser can understand the type of advertisements deliver results and which does not.
You can choose any number for your ad-based Key Codes, except the following codes currently reserved for SFI corporate use:
1101 only for affiliates from S-Builder.
1104 only for PSAs To Go/PSAs won at Auctions
1200 only for affiliates who were not referred to SFI by anyone.
1300 only for TripleClicks members via the TC Tell-A-Friend feature.
Affiliate can choose his/her own Key Codes and append it to the end of your SFI ID number within your Gateway links (for example: http://www.sfi1.biz/SFIID.123 or http://www.sfi4.com/SFIID.123/FREE). System will automatically capture the Key Codes when someone joins SFI or becomes a TC Member through one of the Gateway links with a Key Code attached. Affiliate can see the Key Codes referred to within incoming PSA and PRM Notifications and also in the "KC" column within his/her Genealogy, providing immediate feedback on the effectiveness of his/her ads. In other words, by embedding different Key Codes into various advertising efforts, affiliate can easily and quickly identify where his/her results are coming from, which ad sources are pulling, and which ad sources are not.
As an example, let's say that affiliate runs a particular SFI ad in a popular blog and on an offline flyer. He/she refers prospective affiliates to his/her FREE Gateway on both ads, but using different Key Codes for each source, he/she will be able to tell which one is bringing him/her better results:
