First, you must determine WHAT product you really really want....and then HOW bad you want it. Then, decide how much are you willing to pay for it. This is very important...
If you REALLY want it, you will have to persist in bidding and also have time to do it. It is very tedious process and you must FOCUS on the process and make sure that your attention will not be needed elsewhere for quite a while. You must keep track of the progress and do not exceed your previously set limit. Once YOUR limit is reached, bail out and wait for the next opportunity for that specific product to come along.
Discipline is very important here because you can get lost in the excitement of bidding and before you realize it, you are WAY past your set limit.
