Try them all out and see what you feel most comfortable with.
For me personally, I found a game I was most comfortable with, Knockout Trivia, and won lots of TCredits from it. Then I found it easier to bid in the auctions, because I wasn't so worried about using my TCredits for practising when I knew I could go back to KOT and win some more. With the practise, I found the auctions got easier too. I go for auctions to build my business with, like PSAs, Gift Cards etc.
Both auctions and games will give you MRPs, which you can use to buy tools like S-Builder, PSAs, etc. Buying these from TC Direct also gives you VPs, even if you use your MRPs to pay for them.
Both will give you monthly VPs, up to 200VP for games (paid games, not the free ones) and 500VP for auctions.
My experience has been that buying the TCredits can make you EA, but using them wisely gets you at least to BTL.
