It kind of depends on what you are doing to “build” your business. If you are simply clicking through your “to-do list” you can get by with 20 - 30 minutes a day.
But since you mention the word “profitable” you will obviously want to do much more. It would seem that two to three hours a day is not asking too much if you wish to have a “profitable” business.
Ask yourself this. “If I had a part-time job, how many hours each week would I spend there (including travel time)?” My guess is at least the 21 hours I would suggest you work to build a business and a future for you and your family.
