I don't think that you actually have to ask this question; both are good in thier own way. I don't believe either is "better" than the other.
Promoting SFI & TripleClicks locally gives you the opportunity to engage "real" people. It gives you the chance to discuss your opportunity with people who might have interest. Locally, you can target exactly WHO will get your message. You can spot people that you'd like to join your team - it's more custom that way. This way usually allows you to have QUALITY signups.
Promoting SFI & TripleClicks through Internet gives you a wider base of signups. You are no longer able to get affiliates from one local area, now you have the world at your fingertips. Plus, it is much less effort & time you must put in, in order to get affiliates. The QUANTITY of your affiliates will increase, as you have a larger potential group.
