The best way to provide constructive criticism is to talk about your self, for example when I was in that position, or I usually, and here's a good one, the best way to do (what-ever) is. And remember to say I hope this helps. Most people will get the message.
Never be harsh always kind, you may have heard the old cliche, kill them with kindness.
This will take you a long way and make them feel good about what they have to do, and possibly respond to you. Everyone loves to be loved and love is what love does.
