So which is better? Your sponsored SFI affiliates can give you the same benefits you will derive from your TC referred members, the only exception is the VP you will not receive from their purchases, but you will be able to recoup some by way of VP match where applicable. Therefore if your sponsored SFI affiliates can give you the same benefit as your TC referred members, with even more from duplication, then it will not be out of place to conclude that sponsoring affiliates is better.
However, this conclusion should not be taken in isolation, to the extent that you will want to give up TC member referral or treat it as an insignificant part of your SFI business. This is because not all TC referrals may be interested in becoming SFI affiliates, so ignoring it will be at your own peril. My advice will be to treat both as interwoven and complementary to the success of your SFI business.
