I use my Genealogy all the time. The following is some of what I do:
1) As soon as I know my new members have been added to the list I go right to my report and if, they are on line, which a lot of them are then I introduce myself even if I do not get a chance to actually reach them. They will get the message as soon as they notice it. Also, this might be the only chance you get as they might never log back in. I make up the same email to all of them and just copy and paste to the rest.
2) When I send my message through IM, I also share that they need to check out their inbox as just found out that a lot of them do not know they even have an inbox with SFI. I actually had a new member ask me where it was located. I mentioned for them to check their inbox never thought they could not find it. I believe now we might know why so many do not come back after their first day because they never heard from their sponsor.
3) Even though, I send a message to all of them at one time, I still use their personal email and just share that I sent them a Welcome Letter and then share where on the site they can find their inbox.
4) I am always checking to see who is checking in and if I feel it is necessary to send them a personal message to see if I can help.
