Today a friend sent a letter to me asking, "Is this real?" It was a scam letter about an opportunity to get a bunch of money. We have all received those letters. He asked me, "Why do people fall for this?"
I think it is hope that makes people fall for these letters. It is difficult situations combined with hope of a free easy way out. I see three online opportunities on the internet. And SFI is the third type of business. Why focus on SFI? Do your due diligence and you will see that most opportunities on the net are not real businesses.
The Types of Offerings:
1. Scam - People trying to get your name info and money and give nothing in return.
2. Scheme - a plan or procedure where nothing of value is given in return. Maybe you join a place that gives you an ebook every month for a subscription to their site. You become an affiliate and you sell subscriptions to the site and get 50% commission. But in fact the content being sold is of little or no value. And people buying it never even read it. People really join not for value but for the scheme, making money by getting others to join.
3. Business - The third and least frequent offering is a business. It is the opportunity to offer value to the market place. Jim Rohn says you only make money when you bring value to the market place. You exchange your value for their money. But this takes:
A. Work
B. Skill
C. Planning
And most people don't want to work, Lack the skills and don't want to learn. And they have no plan to change what has always been their situation. Thus they fall for the scam, if they think they are smart they use the scheme. But the only ones who are really smart are too busy for scams and schemes, they are building their businesses.
