I think the first thing to do is to introduce yourself. A name goes a long way but a short version of your story goes even further. You can highlight either:
- the part of their story that could start the conversation: e.g. I see that you're from [location], my family is from there / I see that your first language is [language] and since I too speak it (spent a long time there), let me know if you'd rather we spoke [language] /
I do this with some of my PSA and it is great to put them at ease.
- the part of your own story that has to do with what you want them to focus on e.g. "My name is xxx and I am your sponsor, your help if you will. I came to SFI last year to create a sustainable income for my old age and it has been a pleasure to do honest work for my own benefit for a change. After finally realising that get-rich quick schemes are just a fairytale, I am taking pleasure and pride in being in control of my future from the comfort of my own in [city/country]. What about you, what would you want from SFI so we can work together to make your SFI business the most rewarding possible.
- the part of SFI that would be most beneficial to them according to what they have filled in. It is not always the case but some people fill in enough on their profile for you to know what would be most rewarding in the first place. One of my affiliates has a business and was looking to go online so it was obvious that I was going to go right there and say something like "I know that you have been looking to go online and if you would allow me, I will help you through it, just choose a day and time that suits you and I will take you step by step through the process, especially having done it myself with my own business [my ECA link]. Remember it is all free including my advice".
