I think that on the very beginning you shouldn't initiate online conversation, because a new PSA really doesn't know and understand what to do. We need to greet him, to send him instructions what to do, and to send him some useful information and recommendation.
Let him know he should ask you anything he doesn't understand, and be ready to immediately answer any questions.
When your PSA start doing his actions, and enter the business, then you start conversation to ask does he understand what to do , and to give some advice. You will, of course, contact him if you have an obvious reason, if he does something wrong, or doesn't know what to do.
