Well i for one when I initiate an online chat with a fellow new affiliate I would basically do the following :
Just greet and welcome him or her and briefly touch base and introduce yourself as their sponsor and mentor and that you are there for them
However just keep it simple sweet and short and don't be pushy or too long winded it's better to touch and go and slowly build up the relationship in incremental portions over time .
Once you have touch base remember to stay in constant contact and build up the rapport over time on a regular basis
