In my opinion, you should first introduce yourself and welcome your PSA. Your introduction need to be short and clear.
You do not need to talk (write) much about SFI - everything could be found on the site. Just point out the importance of the SFI Basic and Launchpads lessons. And tell them that you will be there for any help they are needed.
I think that your first mesage shouldn't be long - just a few sentences. Only if your PSA need some help, then you could write more.
