I am also wanting to sell my products internationally, and I too want to make sure what I charge is fair for all parties involved.
I have spent some time reading over the forums, Ask SC and discussing with other affiliates, etc for researching this issue. This is the method that I am using at this time. I will admit it is a time consuming process, however I feel it will be worth it.
I have weighed each item that I am selling. I don't ave a scale at home, so I too the items to the post office and they were kind enough to weigh them. I contacted them ahead of time to inquire as to a good time of day to do this.
I then went online to USPS.com and entered the countries that I want to ship to and chose what I felt was the best option.
Before I enter anything in my store, I am looking at other shipping carriers besides USPS to determine the best rates.
Like I said it is time consuming, but I feel, for me, it will benefit all parties involved and hopefully encourage more customers to buy from my store.
