I have the same problem, my affiliates are inactive but I do not give up.
I use my 125 Tcredit SO to maintain my EA2 rank and to buy PSAs.
It is real, SFI does not ask you for money but you should be very lucky to be able to sponsor new active affiliates without investing money into your business.
Someone is it, I know people who do not even know English, but they have affiliates that work, some that are always available to help their affiliates but receive nothing in return.
Everything turns on sales, on TripleClicks there are a lot of ECAs but many of them fail to meet the needs of members all around the world.
I think that if each country should has ECAs that sell any product, reducing shipping costs, sometimes too high, it would be easier to find new prospects, so new PSAs.
