Well I guess in my opinion there isn't any specific or best strategy to become a PTL but rather to not only make it as a PTL but to remain and stay as a PTL month after month that in my opinion will be a better approach to focus on and as such I will do the following:
As we all know the requisite requirement for achieving PTL status right just to recap:
You need to accumulate 6000 VPS or more consisting of 1500min/2000 MAX Sales VPS and 4000 Action VPS ( how are we going to make it this 4000 Actions VPS mind you not Sales VPS ) and of course - maintain Leadership Page and a minimum 3-star sponsor rating. The 3-star rating requirement is waved if TL has less than 5 ratings from PSAs.
Therefore your strategy is simply go out there and have a action plan to acquire and earn this 4000 VPs every month:
Most important of all you really need to duplicate yourself and motivate and encourage your downline that is PSAs to become EA2 and TLs be it BTL STL GTL and better still PTL and go all out to back and support them use whatever it takes be it reassignment to gift certificates and other incentives To spur them on
As said by our Founder Gery .
1. Become EA every month and commit to a standing order of 1500 VPS
2. Recruit 5 EAs and have them do the same and Duplicate the same in their teams
So go all out to focus on advertising, marketing and promotionm, sponsoring , motivating and supporting activities and in no time you will eventually make it as a Platinum Team leader.
In closing as the saying goes " how do we eat an elephant and the answer my friend is 1 bite size at a time" so there you go take the baby steps, focus on building your core teams and making it as a strong and stable BTL before going on to STL and thereafter GTL and Wala before you even know congrats you are already a PTL .
