My opinion would be;
1) Yes, good to promote to our family members. Strategically, put them as your 5 1st liners. This way you are sharing the wealth generated with your family members. Just ensure they are active team members.
2) Again, as a strategy, place your friends as a second liners. Your will have a stronger team this way, by having people you know in your team, as 1st and 2nd liners. From here, duplication will take place accordingly, e.g friends of your 1st Liners (family members)followed by friends of your friends. I think this way, you will have a very strong team.
3) You should be seeing a dolloar sign on every person you meet, including strangers. Its a matter of how you will approach them, and make them your business partners. You can do offline meeting with them if they are within your vicinity. Group meeting or individually, according to their availability and interest.
In conclusion, all are important in order for you to expand your business of this scale. Sky is the limit.
