A few years ago I would have said a website, today it’s a blog because they get better traffic numbers. There’s also a ton of plugins that you can use (both free and paid) to help you immensely in getting your word out.
You can use a free platform, like blogger, but I’d say get your own hosted blog then you own the thing and no one can take it away. Google owns Blogger, they’re the big cheese and can remove your blog if they don’t like something you do.
