It is true that this group of the population is an excellent target and a potential source of business leaders.
But, only those mature enough and open minded would consider taking this route this early in their lives. The ones who do will very likely succeed at higher levels.
Hence, to effectively attract students to SFI, you have to take into account what would motivate them to join, and be active. You do not want bring in somebody who has not interested in taking the business seriously.
A. In the USA, for instance, you will find students in all age groups.
(a) Adults are going back to school for various financial and personal reasons.
(b) High School graduates are eager to earn extra spending money.
(c) Graduate students would want to pay off their students debt.
You will be well advised to use these circumstances to attract them to SFI
B. In Europe, especially in countries like France, the situation is completely different. Higher education is not as expensive as in North America
Thus, you have to use the Entrepreneurship Spirit card. Those who have this spirit are your target population.
The situation is closely the same in Australia and New Zealand.
C. In the countries that sprung out of the break of the former Yugoslavia, you have to use the lack of strong employment opportunities. It is interesting to note that if these countries were put together as an entity, they would rank very high among the top source of SFI Affiliate growth, as Serbia is already at # 7, Bosnia, Croatia and Macedonia are with the first 20.
D. Similarly, in Africa, you have countries like Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya, at the top of the country Leaderboard

E. This would also apply to India, the Philippines and Pakistan, countries that are at #1, 3 and 4 on the list of the highest ranking sources of SFI Affiliates.
What would drive students to SFI is both the Entrepreneurial spirit and the lack of strong employment opportunities.
Such analysis will apply across the board, in most countries and geographical areas.
