Speaking as someone who had bad experiences with other online "businesses," I would have to say that the two biggest factors to convince me was (1) the fact that you can sign up FREE and check everything out thoroughly, and (2) the fact that they've been around for a long time and earned a good reputation with the Better Business Bureau. Most of the "programs" and "opportunities" I've seen charge you money before you're through the door, and most of them don't hang around too awful long, either.
I also tell him or her the full truth: that I benefit significantly from his or her affiliate sign-up, much like they'll benefit from the people who they will eventually help find success with SFI. Everyone who signs up and stays active will eventually see the benefits as long as they learn from everything this company has to offer. There's not a heck of a lot of disclosure with the other systems.
