I always advise my new affiliates to NOT use up all of their action VP in the first month. One of the things that people see is that they have the ability to become Platinum Associates within the first month, so they go for it.
I try to let them know that it is totally not wise for them to do that. Since this is NOT a get-rich-quick scheme, it is more advisable for them to take their time and take the slow and steady course.
I DO tell them to simply get to their EA status for the first couple of months. If they don't want to spend much month, I would advise them to simply purchase 5 T-credits (individually) which will give them 500 VP. They will get 200 more VP for getting started within 24 hrs. Then they are left with only 800 pts left in the month - that's my advice.
Then I go on to tell them where the rest of their points can come from.
