This is a good question!
For me, it's yes! SFI is good for students. Especially for those who are taking up business courses and not only for business courses students, but to all the students who are seeking extra income through part time jobs outside which is hard to find. No employers will employ a part timer instead they will get a full time employee. SFI is good start for students who are self-discipline, industrious, independent and struggling to finish college. Especially those students who find difficulties to cope up studies due to lack of financial capability that cannot afford tuition fees.
Nowadays, school tuition fees increase yearly, so earning in SFI will help these students to acquire things that they need like doing projects, thesis, fieldtrips, supplies and other expenditures instead of asking to their parents these extra expenses that may incur. Earning by them will make the student to become independent and resourceful.
After school, they will consume their extra time in working SFI instead of doing things which they are not earning. They can use their time in a fruitful way in doing SFI work as long as that they are determined to succeed in their goal.
So, becoming an independent person, they will know how to spend their hard earned money because they know how it hard to earn by themselves. By doing this as a part time earner, students may become responsible in the sense that they can help their parents, siblings, relatives and friends and they are bound to succeed if they are only focus on the job that they are doing. They become responsible also as they grow older or when they become mature, because they know how their parents sacrifice just to send them to school and give education.
So SFI, is the beginning of the journey of the students to become mature and face the real world.
