It is a duty of a team leader to guide each Affiliate under his sponsorship especially at the initial stage where there may be a confusion on how to proceed. You will notice that as he moves to the next level with your guidance, he become knowledgeable even more than his Sponsor because each one of us has its own talent in doing things. Of course, the Sponsor is part of the development process but there's a time to give your Affiliates a chance to shine from their own initiative.
You can not set a time frame to stop mentoring because our business is a continuing "give and take" process. Communication and consultation are ingredients for success and should always be there. There will come a time that Affiliates will be working on their own teams and so on. But it is always good to communicate once in a while and discuss about the business.
